the seasons

It is often said that in Montana, there are 9 months of winter, three months summer.  With an occasionally week or two of spring and fall.  What I have noticed today is that the trees out front of my house are turning yellow.  Yes, folks, we are beginning to get fall colors.  It's still August.

I.  Do.  Not.  Like.  This.

Oh, watched part of a documentary last night on The Dixie Chicks.  Isn't it ironic how much they were lambasted for attacking Bush a few years ago, and now the rest of the earth seems to have caught up with them?  I wonder how their career is going.

And here I always wanted to live there for cowboys and b/c I thought they would have some of the most beautiful falls... guess I'll stick with Ohio and my computer nerd. :) My favorite season is the fall... I have leaves all over my house (and that's the inside!). Ah well...

Isn't it like 90some degrees there? Relax. Maybe the trees are just dying. ;)

Ha. It was 41 at 7 this a.m., and the high might be 75. I'm not complaining about that mind you. I love the temps. I just wish the trees wouldn't start shedding so soon.

Sadly, the leaves are fallen off our trees too. I think its mostly because we have been in a drought so they are shedding early. If the trees keep this up we won't have any pretty leaves to see come fall. :(

Haha. That really is ironic. Hope their career is going well. And I think you have a little bit before fall hits. Don't worry about it!!

If it makes you feel better, on this side of the "pond" we've had temps in the lower 60s this past week - not to mention rain rain rain :(. Fall is indeed early this year.

No early fall for us here in NC, not if the heat keeps up as it has been. I've noticed some poplars changing colors, but it could be from the drought. I'm hoping it will still be nice and warm by the time my vacation comes around at the end of Sept.
