The dork needs some help
12th-May-2008 11:22 am
The dork (me) needs some help from you who've read The Cipher. And even the one or two of you who've read The Black Ship. Here's the problem. I know that Crosspointe has royal colors. I just can't for the life of me remember what they are, and so far I can find them. (I usually take notes on the books and have not done a very good job with the one I'm writing, and apparently left that detail out of the notes on The Cipher--anyone want to update my notes for me? Yeah, didn't think so).  Anyhow, if you can remember, I will be eternally grateful.  Help!  Please!

I love this icon!!!!! I'm in the middle of a rewrite where I want to change around what the main character does in what order, and that kind of shuffling of text, then rewriting because she's in the middle of learning something new, so her perceptions change along the way, is a PAIN. Good phrases & sentences have to be shifted to different contexts, and then rewritten because they no longer quite fit. Aargh!

I'd love an icon like this, but with hair...

My book is at home... dabnabit! I should know better... right? ;) I tried what I did have but couldn't find it just doing 'find' for colors I could think of. I keep thinking red is one of them... but I don't know for sure. I think those were the uniforms of some of the military/policing forces you had. But I think there were multiple of those with different colors. I'll check later if no one's found it yet. Oh, Google didn't have it either. Will have to work on that. *chuckle*

What kind of a time frame between novels has happened? If it's a few years, simple - the government/people have made an edict to change the royal insignia to (insert fanciful colors and emblem). Of course, that's the lazy man's approach.

if you open up the word document version (im assuming you use word) you can do a word search inside the document for "colors of" or some version of that to bring you to the sentence. sorry, i dont have a copy of the book, or i would be able to tell you.

I am on page 350... but all I remember seeing so far was the crimson capes of the Crown Shields.

And now I've finished it and loved it!! When do I get the next one?!?! But, I still only recall crimson. Sorry if that's not too helpful.
